Arcas has joined the international project management and engineering firm, AMEC. Together, we will provide you with a comprehensive range of archaeological, environmental, and engineering services to meet your project needs.
Clients can expect business as usual, with the added benefit of additional technical expertise, financial resources, more offices, and the ability to provide services outside of B.C. Arcas’ consulting staff and management team will not change. You will continue to work with the same quality people, experiencing the same attention to client service.
In business since 1981, Arcas is an established archaeological consulting company providing private sector, First Nations and government with high quality archaeological and other cultural heritage services, innovative and practical archaeological management solutions, and reliable advice based on our extensive experience and training.
“This merger is a great fit for us because our colleagues at AMEC are just as committed to excellence as we are. Their expertise in environmental, engineering, and project management services will complement our archaeological services — providing our clients with complete and value added services.” — Arnoud Stryd, President, Arcas.
With over 25 years of successful project implementation, we take pride in the quality of our assessments and other work, in the innovative and practical nature of our archaeological resource management solutions, and in our reliable advice based on extensive experience and training.
Our approach is built on the expertise and professionalism of our staff; building positive and responsive relationships with clients, First Nations and regulatory agencies; delivering reliable, quality work, on time and on budget; focusing on communication and continuous improvement in everything we do; and, above all, operating with integrity, respect, and honesty in all aspects of our business.
AMEC Arcas is committed to the promotion of the health, safety and well being of all employees, to the provision of a safe and healthy work environment, and to the prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses. In keeping with our Safety Policy, and the industry standards, we are continually improving our safety program.
We have passed an extensive external health and safety audit and have received the Certificate of Recognition (COR), through Enform. Enform is the training, certification, and health and safety services arm of the petroleum industry. We also have registered with the BC Forest Safety Council for their safety certification called SAFE. Both of these programs are in conjunction with WorkSafe BC.
